Pa'Chuco Pale Ale
This brew is fruity and floral with a light sweet and clean taste. The color is light, but the flavor isn’t, Holmes! The perfect “birria” for an afternoon under the famous El Paso sunsets.
History: "Pachuco" or "Chuco" was a term that originated in the El Paso-Juarez area in the 1920s and 1930s. Pachucos described Latinos of the urban subculture who had distinct hairstyles, dress and language. Many moved to California in the 1940s, referring to El Paso as "El Chuco." (Chicano Folklore, 2001. Rafaela G. Castro) Often returning to visit family, they would say they were going "Pa' Chuco!"
Food Pairings: The Pachuco is great with smoky cheeses or grilled meats. Cheddar or specialty cheeses are a nice mix, too. Feel free to add an apple pie to finish!
